About Us

Hey there, We are so glad you found us. Welcome to The OT place where we support you on your journey to wellness.

In 2019, Tarsha Long (Occupational Therapist) founded The OT Place to meet a need in the community for a holistic health based clinic, that looked at the mind, body and spirit perspective of healing. Tarsha then worked closely with a local graphic designer, Lake Mel Designs, to create a logo that captured just that! A place to rest, a place to learn, be empowered, emotionally , physically and spiritually.

Our team is here to ensure that you get all the tools, information and support you need to create a healthier and more vibrant you!

“Pain isn’t fun, and my passion is helping my clients live their lives the way they want, by helping them understand where their pain is coming from, and learning how to manage and overcome any injuries that are stopping them from enjoying life on their terms!

My passion to help comes from a personal place. After spending 6-months in a wheelchair, 6-months on crutches, and 5-years in rehab after a serious accident, I know how limiting pain and injury can be, so my mission is now to use what I have learnt personally, and as a trained Occupational Therapist and healthcare professional, to help my clients at The OT Place.

If you are currently experiencing pain or injury, and would like to see if The OT Place can help you, I would love to have a chat and assess where you are at.

I wanted to make a difference in peoples lives. Not just for people who have chronic pain but for all people. Our lives are so fast paced and there is no indication of slowing down anytime soon; we barely take time for ourselves and when we do, its usually at rock bottom.

We all love achieving things, ticking off our to do lists, but at what cost to our health?

I believe that the OT Place brings all these things together, focusing on natural health like our forefathers to prevent and treat pain, and maximise our health and quality of life. I look at lifestyle, habits, routines, body and mind. Its all connected.

I believe that Soft Tissue Occupational Therapy has the power to help people more than just on a physical muscular level, but on a nerve, lymphatic and circulatory level. Soft Tissue Occupational Therapy works with all the systems of the body to maximise health and reduce pain. I don’t want to just tell people how to cover the pain, but get to the root cause, with an understanding that other professionals may need to be part of the journey, to guide you, to walk your journey beside you.”

Tarsha,

Senior Occupational Therapist at The OT Place
